The basic class schedule is as follows:
Sunday afternoon: General orientation, paperwork, tool sharpening techniques and
actual tool sharpening.
Monday: Rive log or spoke for spindles, rive spindles, rough out spindles, and start
drying process.
Tuesday: Rive bow, rough out bow, steam bend bow, and start drying process for bow.
Wednesday: Basic turning techniques - double bobbin legs and stretchers. Turn green hard (sugar)
maple legs and stretchers and start drying process for them. Glue up seat blank.
Thursday: Mark up, drill, and carve seat, also do final shaping of spindles.
Friday: Final shaping of bow, final drying of legs and spindles, assemble seat with
legs and spindles.
Saturday: Final assembly - fit bow to chair base and spindles. Demonstration of application of milk paint.
