Spindle Turning Classes |
Having the skill to turn table and chair legs can dramatically increase the elegance of your work.
Many talented woodworkers steer clear of turning because it looks complicated and difficult.
Some woodworkers also think they must invest in an expensive copy lathe to be able to turn out multiple table
or chair legs of the same size. If taught correctly, nothing could be further from the truth.
Our classes are designed so that a person with no previous experience can progress from basic turning to expert
spindle turning in three steps over a period of 6 days. Classes are offered as three 2 day weekends or as a 6 day
class. I recommend the weekend classes because it allows practive between the class steps, and nothing makes you
a good turner faster than doing a lot of turning. Having the skill to turn out a chair or table leg
(or other project) with crisp details and smooth finish is only three steps away.
