The Chairwright and Davidson House Inn are located at 445 and 425 West Walnut in Kirkwood, Illinois. To visit the shop and stay at the inn, take U.S. Route 34, West out of Monmouth or East out of Burlington, Iowa. Go past the first marked Kirkwood exit. At the next cross-roads, turn west. (See map for arrows indicating exit.) This Kirkwood exit is unmarked and is Walnut Street. Take Walnut Street west. The Inn is the last house on the south side of Walnut Street and the shop is the last building on the south side of Walnut Street. Amtrak trains run daily into Galesburg, Illinois and Burlington, Iowa.
These trains usually require reservations. We will pick you up at the train station and
take you back.
Just let us know your arrival and departure times.
(Both Galesburg and Burlington are 22 miles from the Shop and Inn at Kirkwood.)
by Airplane
Regional Airports are in Moline, Illinois (60 miles from Kirkwood) and
Peoria, Illinois (60 miles from Kirkwood). Burlington, Iowa (22 miles from
Kirkwood) Galesburg has a small airport
which supports private planes as does Monmouth (8 miles from Kirkwood).
We will pick you up at the airport and
take you back.
